TNDR (Natural Unblocking Regenerating Technique) is the core of the work at my practice in Castelldefels. It is not one more massage style: it is a way of reading tissue by hand before deciding where and how to work.
Tissue as a record
TNDR understands the body as a continuous web. Physical impacts — trauma, sustained postures, overload — and psychological impacts — accumulated stress, what has not been processed — settle into the weave of the tissue and alter its local circulation.
This is not a metaphor: you can feel it with your hands. Affected tissue loses elasticity, condenses and responds differently to pressure.
Painful knots and lines
Two palpable formations show up during exploration:
- Painful knots: points of condensation or fixed adhesion where tissue has lost elasticity and hurts directly under pressure.
- Painful lines: paths of tension connecting several knots along a body chain.
The cause is almost never where it hurts
This is the part that surprises people most. Where you feel the complaint rarely coincides with where it comes from. A blockage in the tissue of the thigh or hip can be exactly what stops the knee joint from recovering its function, however much you work the knee.
That is why the session does not start at the spot that hurts, but at the chain holding it. Finding the originating blockage and dissolving it is what releases the affected joint.
What happens when the adhesion is undone
The TNDR manoeuvre is not a gentle friction stroke. It is precise, focused and intense manual work on the painful knots and lines, always adjusted to how the tissue responds.
Mechanically undoing the adhesion triggers hyperaemia: blood flow and oxygenation to the area increase immediately. And that, rather than the pressure itself, is what stimulates the tissue's own capacity to regenerate.
How it fits with the other disciplines
TNDR is the base, but it does not work alone. Depending on what the exploration shows, a session may draw on TMJ and facial muscle work, Biomagnetic Pair therapy, Access Bars, kinesiology or integrative foot reflexology. That combination is what allows each session to be adjusted to the person in front of me.
